I recently saw a cache program called Lightening CD, does anyone have any opinions on it? I have CD Speedway and am very dissapointed in it, and and am looking for information before I purchase Lightening CD. Thanks.

Hello William, I have a little experience with Lightning for Windows, and in my opinion it is NOT what I was looking for in a disk cache program for CDROM. In fact several of my CD's would not display full-motion video with the cache enabled. Also windows ran a lot slower! I would not recommend that you spend the money. Regards, Gerald Marshall

I can't supply information on Lightening CD, however, you may want to look at The Norton Speedcache+. Detailed information is available in the Norton Forum. (GO NORTON) The product provides high-performance caching on hard drives, CD-ROM drives and external drives such as Bernoulli and Syquest drives. It will substantially improve performance on CDROM drives, Windows and DOS. It can be found at most major resellers such as CompUSA, Egghead and Software Etc just to name a few. Symantec has a 60 day money-back guarantee if for any reason it doesn't live up to your expectations. I'm confident you'll find it very beneficial. Pat. (Symantec)
