Could you advise the current situation with the Win NT drivers for the CDU 31A
CDROM drive.

The beta NT driver for the 31A has been uploaded to the MSWIN32 forum, library
13. It may not be available for downloading yet, but keep looking – it should
be there any day now. Good luck!

I suppose you have the same message I have by now that MS will not post other
developers binaries in the MSWIN32 forum. Therefore I still cant get the driver
yet. How about the CDROM forum?

According to MS, they won't post other co's executables on their forums. Could
you get the code up on this base???

Yes, my mistake. The driver will be posted here.
Also you had asked about support for older drives: 535 etc.
This driver only supports the Sony CDU-31A drive. I don't know what's being
done to support the other drives, sorry. I'll try to get an answer for you from
the tech support group.

That would be EXTREMELY appreciated! I'm trying desperately to do two things:
1. Keep up with some NT developments…
2. Continue to use my Sony CD-ROM
Up to this point, these have been mutually exclusive endeavors. I have been
managing to limp along during the beta test cycles, but once NT hits the
streets, as a developer I can't even CONSIDER continuing to use a drive which
is neither fully nor partially supported.
Yet, after the better part of a year I still haven't even gotten word on
whether Sony is even pledging to support these drives, much less any info on
whether it can be expected any time in the near future, or in any way related
to official release of NT.
I HAVE TO KNOW! If these drivers are NOT going to be available I HAVE TO make
other arrangements.
