#KODAK Photo CD Access
6 messages in this thread
Hi, I bought a NEC 83M about a year ago. I'm now looking for the update to
KODAK photo access. Any information ? Thanks Pierre
Pierre,
You can search the library for the Kodak file on CD-ROM compatibility. Use
"Photo CD" as a key word.
You also can ask your question directly in the new Kodak forum. GO:KODAK.

Thanks Paul, but I'm sure that my CDROM doesn't support your product, BTW CDROM
inc gives me a phone number to buy an upgrade kit. Pierre
Pierre,
With the correct version of software device driver for the NEC 83M you
will be able to read a single session on a Photo CD. What driver you need
depends on what interface board you are using. In addition, once you can read
the disc you will need software that is able to read the image format.

What do you mean ? Do I must change my mscdex version or is it higher level? I
use an ADAPTEC 1542b with Corel SCSI driver because it was the only one which
drives efficiently all my hardware (HD 1G, CD, optical R/W 5"1/4 and 3"1/2). A
guy from CDRom Inc said that they have a upgrade kit for the NEC 83M, is it
what I need? Sure I have Kodak CD access! Thanks Pierre
Pierre,
You should be able to read a single session Photo CD disc on the 83M
with the 1542B using Corel SCSI version 1.01f or later. Once you can read the
disc, you'll need an application that can read the image format.
