PS problems

Thanks for that info. I have the Canon Print Studio in my
preferences drawer, though I did not know it could make the RICOH
LP1200 operate properly. I will bear that in mind in future as a
laser is something I definately covet. Though why SILICA never told
me all of this at the time, I do not know.
IAIN.
The shareware CanonStudio only works with Canon printers. The full Studio
package is needed for the Ricoh LP1200.

Jeff,
I have a version of my HPLJ driver for the Ricoh LP1200 (400 dpi)
mode. I haven't released it yet cause I don't think Pete has added
the necessary ram to his printer to try out the 400 mode. But if
anybody else wants to try it, let me know.
Kelly,
Yes I have got the extra ram now up to 4mb and your driver works very well
thanks very much.
Pete
Okay, thanks Pete. I'll upload the driver to the libraries now.

Kelly, I had a look… I don't own a Ricoh, but I know that your driver is
wrong. You need to get a manual for the "Layout" script language for the
Ricoh printer. Without "Layout" there is no real hope for a moderate
driver, because you have to switch the print engine and PCL resolution.

Pete hasn't reported any problems with his Ricoh printer and this driver.

This is indeed true 🙂
