FC2R2 font paths
2 messages in this thread
Why doesn't FC2R2 use relative references to the font directory? I have
my tooltype set as FONTDRAWER=fcfonts/swolfonts and feel that the full
path should not be saved in the document (i.e. volume name, etc.). It
would be easier to transfer documents among varying system setups.
On another matter, you stated about 2 weeks ago that printing was faster
than 1.3.2 with this release. My printing time has increased since I
moved from 1.3.2 up to FC2 – from about 38 secs to 60-65 using the same
document in both versions. Is there something that needs to be set
differently between the versions to see the faster print speeds?
Thanks,
Fred
Fred,
I don't recall ever stating that printing was faster or slower than
another time. However, due to the sometimes late-night Compu$erving I do,
it's possible that there are a lot of things I've said that I won't
remember. Please accept my apologies for this inaccuracy. The only tips
are: a) faster CPU, b) more RAM (in printer, especially), and c) printing
to Postscript (definitely the fastest).
Thanks for the relative font path suggestion. I'll bring it up at
work.
