I'd like to request some way to create "Hidden Fields" or codes in
PW. Providing such a feature could easily allow user-extendable
functions via ARexx such as table-of-contents generation, indexes,
etc. Such fields wouldn't print, and you could figure out a way to
make them editable vs. non-display.
That doesn't seem like a lot of development effort and would tap into the
potential of your users. What do you say?

Currently there is only one suitable character that can be used to
mark things in ProWrite and that is the soft hyphen (Alt + hyphen) A
number of people have written simple (and some not so simple) index
generating routines around the soft hypen. The advantage that it has
is that it does not affect formatting or spell checking the
disadvantage is that it is a kludge. I will of course forward your
suggestion on to the programming staff for their consideration.
