Just recieved and installed their new CD-ROM drivers for OS/2.1. They do allow me to use my old 1503s. The only problem I have is that it installs four drives, E,F,G,H and only F is real. Tomorrow 2.1 GA arrives and I'll see if I can install from this old beast.

Set the drive ID switch fully CCW to set the ID to #0 not to NDS. The drive responds to all IDs when run NDS. You can also add /n:1 to set one drive. The os/2 help docs should have mentioned this. Bill

That was it, which I found out by reading ALL the documents. Thanks anyway. I am still not positive how stable the OS/2 driver is. I get (infrequent) "DRIVE E NOT READY" messages. This has not happened at all when I boot to a pure DOS 5.0 system. I gave up trying to install 2.1 GA with the CD and created all the disks using MS-DOS.

most of the compatibility testing on the os/2 driver was done with current drives like the CDR3700 and 1700SA. You may be able to get a replacement os/2 driver which is supposed to fix that for the CDR3500 in about a week or so.
