Thanks for your reply. I agree with your position; in my case things are ever
worst: Toshiba italy does not upgrade the drive, so I should send it in U.S.A.,
with added costs for shipping. If this is the situation, I won't upgrade the
3301 nor I will buy other Toshiba products for getting poor support.
I've received E-mail about Trantor new drivers for Mac so I will seek for them;
I hope they will permit the upgrade through CI$.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that Toshiba is providing poor support, although
I'm suprised that you have to send the drive all the way to the U.S. Toshiba
Italy really should provide a better solution than sending it stateside. Aside
from this, I must say that they -do- provide an excellent product!

Not so weird about the upgrade for Photo CD. I am in Japan and I do not think
that Toshiba is offering the service here…. and they are made here.
