I am aware of Autodesk's policy of being tight lipped about future releases, but I figure R3 will probably be out in the fall, and if so, I need to start saving up to get it. If there are any little birdies out there who can confirm or deny this, or give me anything more specific date-wise, it would certainly help me out.

The formal R3 announcement about features and ship-dates will happen at Siggraph, August 2nd. – G

Where is Siggraph taking place. I am taking a vacation in August. Is it open to the public?
