Hi, I recently joined the Microsoft Developer Network and as part of the deal received a Multimedia Upgrade kit (SoundBlaster Pro & Panasonic CD-ROM Drive) as part of the deal. Now I have installed everything without any problems but I have a !!! REALLY !!! serious problem. How do I play my audio CD's from within Windows? I bought a pair of speakers so that take cares of that and I suppose I could write my own program but I am sure that somebody must have already done that – any ideas anyone? PaulB :)'

Have a look at CDPlayer (in Library 4 as CDPJ.ZIP). It has all the functions of a home CDPlayer (+ a few more) and disc cataloging. You can now register through SWREG – REG ID 999 Paul Brace (Author of CDPlayer).

Paul the multimedia player that comes with Windows 3.1 supports CD audio. There are also several shareware and commercial CD audio players available.
