I have a Sound Blaster Pro and NEC-84. When I am in DOS I get stereo sound but once I get into Windows sound only comes through in one speaker. I use Afterdark, and was told there may be some connection with this program and my problem. Also I find that with my speakers connected to the sound card, when I start my system I get tremendous feedback. But if I first remove the speaker connection and boot up and then attach the speakers no feedback, but sound through only one speaker. Any Ideas? thanks

One thing to look at is the Sound Blaster Pro Mixer in Windows. Make sure the Volume slide controls are locked and both channels are set the same.

The SoundBlaster Pro also has problems if the three magic Windows drivers are not loaded in a specific order (it's in a README file). You should also hunt up and download the latest SB Pro drivers.
