Hi,
I would like to know the known number of CD player owners in the US and the
rest of the world. Any references as to the predicted future size of this
market would be appriciated too.

I would suggest that you look in a report from Julie Schwerin at InfoCorp or
some other research company like Frost & Sullivan. Also, Apple in the USA has
just released a report on the World Wide CD-ROM market. It is quite good and
summarizes several other reports. Staffan "BamBam"

The Apple report was distributed to AMP members as part of their Multimedia
program. Unfortunately, my copy seems to be buried but
I will send you more info when I find it again.
I would recommend applying to AMP for all serious Apple-compatible multimedia
developers. They deliver a lot of useful info as well as
discounts on HW and SW.

We develop for PC's so AMP is not much of an option for us. Thanks for the info
though, I'll try to locate an AMP member.

Just in case you missed the rest of the propaganda, the Optical Publishing
Association has some of the information you in its semi-annual report available
exclusively to members. You can get more info by downloading MEMFRM.TXT in lib
#14 of this forum.
