#B&P MUFFY PROBLEMS
4 messages in this thread
Hi Adam. Thanks for responding to my previous message # 31621 (and you too
Dominick).
My problem is with the MuFFy accessory and not sMerFF since I am still using
Bars & Pipes Pro V1.OC. I do want to update to Bars&Pipes Pro 2 but as of yet
haven't wanted to spend the money. (I also want to update SuperJam! and buy
Patchmeister. 🙂
As for uploading the file to you on the Blue Ribbon BBS, forget it. I have
tried to register several times but there is too much line noise between here
and there (Costa Rica-Georgia). On the other hand, I did upload it here in
Amiga Arts last week (AMER.LHA) so you can still try to convert it to .mid
format using the old MuFFy accessory. By the way, I tried again today to make
a .mid file out of this song but the same thing happened: measures upon
measures of sustained notes in the left hand piano part.
Thomas,
When you are able to, I highly recommned that you upgrade to B&P Pro
V.2. It's well worth it.
Good luck and I hope Adam is able to resolve your problem.

Hi, Thomas:
Thanks- I'll get on it right away…
-Adam
Hi, Thomas!
I checked out the file you were having problems with (AMER.LHA). Both
sMerFF and MuFFy revealed the same symptoms you were experiencing. BUT, the
problem does not reside in either of these tools. There was a single gremlin
causing all of the problems in the resulting MIDI files:
Open up the event-list editor in B&P and look at all of measure 21.
You will notice that there is a mysterious note lurking there. It is an E12,
note number 148. This note does not even exist in MIDI! If you remove this
note from the list and re-save the MIDI file, it will play fine. Something was
at fault when the song was created…
Question: Did you enter the song using step entry? The answer to this
will give us some clues.
-Looking forward to hearing from you…
P.S. You can still get SMerFF and use it with V. 1.0C.
