#Video Post

m Thanks for your response. The map-path statement is set properly. Funny thing
though; I have never been able to display a .flc file , only .fli in 3ds. I
always need to go to Animator Pro to display. Could thesetwo issues be
intertwined? Probably not, because my first try at video post yielded good
results using a .flc file. Any ideas?

No. I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas. Anybody else?
It might be the display driver you are using that is preventing playback of flc
files. My dealer told me that the Panacea drivers (which I am using) my not
allow playback of an flc file (he was right). I don't know much about it other
than the fact that I can't play them either. I shell to dos and use the
Trilobye play program to play them back…

Nathan,
Sorry, but you and you're dealer are mistaken about Panacea drivers not
allowing playback of a .FLC file. Which ADI driver you are using has absolutely
no affect on whether or not you can play a hi-res flic from 3DS. The Yost Group
put code into 3DS to playback flics on VESA compatible boards. They do that
straight from 3DS right to the video card, never talking to the ADI driver.
Therefore, if you can't play a flic, then it's probably your cards VESA
support, most of them need you to load a VESA TSR. To verify this, use the same
card with two different drivers, the built-in VGA driver and our driver, and
see if flic playback is different between the two.

Hmmm…. I will have to check that out…. Other VESA compatable software runs
fine on my card. (Fractint, Triloobyte PLAY) Perhaps my card is not 100%
compatable.

A couple weeks ago I downloaded your driver and use it exclusively for 3DS with
the new Metheus 928 S3 with 4 meg. I sent you a message and didn't get a
reply. We were having problems with the deleted message CIS host bug at the
time. Did you ever receive my series of questions?
