Although we are working on software to this, it could be nice that see some multilayer support in the next truecolor (non real-time) version of AApro. I have see recently a demo of a program called Altamira, which is a paint program that use layers to put bitmaps in an electronic surface, making an smoooooth image thanks to its alpha channel support (which eliminates the jaggies). I have seen that in some custom workstations, and it could be nice to take it to Anipro. Thanks, Ana

I'm curious, Ana, where did you see Altamira Composer? – Jack

We have some screen shots in the magazine as well as some technical general info that a colaborator send us from Washington (included in the looong general monthly report). I think it's the same used in PC Magazine for their Trends section (well, to be true, I'm sure they have the beta…unfortunately we don't have the power of the Ziff guys). Have you heared or saw something about it? What's your opinions about the use of the same technology in Animator Pro? As I have stated before I only have seen this in EXPENSIVE dedicated 2d animation systems. Thanks in advance, Ana

I wrote the docs for Altamira Composer. I'm not sure how much I can say about it, except that it's the best image-processing program I've ever used. They showed it at Comdex, but I can't comment on the release date. As for Animator Pro and its future direction…my lips are sealed. (As usual.) – Jack
