#Hot new CDTV Title.

We are 30 days away from a proof of concept intro that will set CDTV on
it's ear forever.
It will be called ALIEN CRAFT t.m. and will be published by a new company
called EDUCATIONAL ADVENTURES, INC., who also owns the concept.
There will eventually be as many as 30 CD titles in the ALIEN CRAFT t.m.
series. It has the potential to put CDTV on the map in a big way. It is not
a game but an adventure. Knowledge is power.
We also want to port to CD-I and VIS in order to increase consumer appeal.
We chose CDTV to develope on for obvious reasons.

I look forward to any product for the CDTV. One thing though when your
product becomes available. I suggest you move yor thoughts to the CDTV
section of this forum instead of 'hot rumors' section. I think the section
number is 13.(Lucky number)

I'll be very glad to see that. I was really interested in the information
Scott gave me.
Will you be showing this at DevCon? I have an English friend who does
most of the CDTV reviews in England (Scott met her at a London show he
attended last year), and I know she would love to do reviews of your
materials. She writes for two or three of the English magazines, and she
will be at DevCon.

Tell me more about DevCon and your English friend on E Mail. I talked with
Scott today about you also. Do you still do some writing?

Most of the magazines for which I wrote are no longer publishing, and I've
done little writing here lately. I wrote the documentation for AutoPilot
this year, did an article for Genealogical Computing, and I write
regularly for two publications of ICPUG, the English Commodore-Amiga club.
Their national journal has a very large circulations – several thousand –
and I do a column for that. I think I'd like to do more writing than I
do, but I have not actively pursued it recently. I do write reviews of
CDROM disks for a man in Waco. He arranges for the publication, so I
don't know exactly where they are appearing.

OK, now that we have a dose of the marketing propaganda, what so special
about "Alien Craft" that it will set CDTV on it's ear forever? I'm not
being sarcastic, I just want to know more about your product and why it's
so special.

There is one thing about "marketing propaganda" that you must know. It
usually makes one wait a specified period of time for the ultimate
introduction of the promised product.
I will say this much however in the way of a clue. The name of our company
says alot about our product.

Please post more info on your project here. I also suggest that when
you're ready to announce it you post over in the CD-I section of the
Multimedia Forum.
Our basic premise, here at EDUCATIONAL ADVENTURES, is to provide product
titles that offer entertainment and escape with the absorption of
meaningful knowledge as a byproduct. You know, thats what computers were
supposed to do in the first place, before Nintindo ect.
I know, eye/hand co-ordination is a great thing to have but it only goes so
far. We are betting that people really want more than that. We are
producing a series of products that will test this theory. ALIEN CRAFT t.m.
is just the first title in our 1st series, of which there will be many.
The ALIEN CRAFT t.m. series will be a geography oriented adventure. Captain
Remy, the current commander of the ALIEN CRAFT t.m., is leading us on a
"Geographical Survey" of planet earth. Each CD title will feature a
different section of the planet. The 1st. will be ALIEN CRAFT EUROPE t.m.
and the proof of concept is a precise preview, but with only 1 country
(Switzerland) fleshed out.
The ALIEN CRAFT t.m. series will be tightly structured in an educational
format that would make even THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC proud. It will be used
in the schools as an aid to the teaching of geography. It will also be
marketed to the retail consumer. That is why we are looking at VIS and CD-I
as additional formats.
