Well….. It may be time for Microbotics to resurrect their little "plugs into the mouse port" RTC hack. It works… But it is more cost effective I suspect to just get a bare MBX1200 board. {@_@}

Joanne, Does the MBX1200 actually HAVE a clock on it? I was about to buy one today and took a good look at the board. No sign of a battery. Tha docs don't mention anything about a clock either. I'll be asking them in AmigaVendor about this as well. Joe

Joe, I have a MBX1200, no clock. I dragged the Time preferences into the WBStartup drawer for the time being so I don't forget to set the time. Dennis ….on AutoPilot

Dennis, Thanks for the information. Now I need to figure out where I heard that it did have one. Probably half the reason for getting one now just went out the window. Oh, well. Joe

Hi Joanne — I'm not familiar with Microbotics "Plugs into the mouse port RTC hack." Is/Was that a "Clock in a dongle?" And are you saying that the MBX1200 (which is their new A1200 memory board, right?) _does_ have a clock on it? I can't find specs on it, and at least one dealer says "nope." I'm not a hardware kind of person, but it seems by now that clocks would be built-ins in any computer, right outa the box…. — Ed (In Nawth NH) — [via AP!]
