#DevCon almost here!

Well folks, DevCon is a bit over a week away now… It turns out I'm
flying down for it a few days early (Friday night) so I was wondering if
anyone else will be down there early, and if so, was wondering if perhaps
a CIS pre-DevCon get together might be in order? <evil grin>
For that matter, it might be an interesting idea for a CIS get together
during the DevCon as well, to catch the stragglers…
Any ideas or suggestions as to when and where would be accepted…

.P.S. This would also be a good thread for those who are going to the
DevCon, whether they want to meet their fellow CISers or not, to come out
of the closet and admit to it… <g>
Well, I'm going to be there. 🙂 Which hotel are you going to stay at?
I'm going to be up there sometime on Tuesday…I'm not quite sure when
though…I'd been planning on driving up there with one or two folks from
down here, but I have to be at work that day and I'm not sure when I'm
leaving.
They better have name tags there… I'm not sure if you really look like I
think you look. 🙂

I'm blonde, about six feet tall, and I wear glasses. (Oh, that's really
good, Steve….very descriptive…). 🙂 Maybe we should all wear pink
carnations or something….
It also probably wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a camera, so those of us
with fading memories can remember one everyone was after the DevCon is
over…. 😉

I ALWAYS bring my camera, Steve. Just hope I have it with me at all the
appropriate times. Gee, after this meeting, if we could just scan all
these pictures and upload, we'd have quite a gallery of the CIS
membership, wouldn't we?

all about. I've passed the two-week discount for flights…

agencies. Sometimes they have empty seats going begging and will let you
have them really cheap at the last minute.)

I am going to call a few agencies today. Cashflow is very tight at
Syndesis this week, this morning I officially bought Harriet's share of the
company, so now Syndesis is all mine, so I'm now able to panic about every
aspect of the business without fear of overstepping my corporate bounds.

I'll be staying at the Quality Inn at International Drive, which is 4
short blocks from the Con hotel. (It's close to the Con, gets a 2 diamond
AAA rating which means it's good enough [barely], and it don't cost much,
which, since I'm doing this on my own, is a big selling point… 🙂
They've had name tags at prior cons, but I've always found it awkward
looking at name tags. I probably look nothing like you think I look, but
a lot like I think I look, so that's all that counts there. I have yet to
meet someone from CIS who looks like I expected them to… <g>

I plan to arrive on the 24th – rather late. Mike Todd will be meeting me
at the plane, and there will be quite a delegation from England arriving
on the 22nd. We will be at the Quality Inn at 7600 International.

I think everyone I know who is going, is staying at QI. Must be pretty
big.

How late? There's a Luau the night before at 6pm…. Are you planning
on attending?

I plan to be there late on Sunday, Steve. And I certainly plan to attend
the Luau! Do I have to dress up?

Dress up? I hope not, my Hawaiian skirt is at the cleaners. :*) I plan
to dress casual.

I'll be going to devcon, however I'll be driving up to it the day before,
or maybe even the day it starts. I'd be real interested in a CIS get
together sometime during devcon! 🙂

through Saturday at the Devcon Hotel. I'll be there the week after with my
family visiting Disneyland too…
