I am trying to view a Flic I have just created on 3D Studio, but when I do I get Abnormal program termination: Page fault CS:EIP=00Fh:001716A4h I can go into Animator Pro and view it with no problem at all. What gives?

James, I had a similar problem. Memory location is different from yours. I hope we will find an answer. No body seems to suspect there might be a bug in 3ds. Mei-Tien

You don't both happen to have Gateways, do you?

Are you asking me if I have Gateways, or Mei-Tien? I don't know what Gateways is (are).

No, not me.

James and Mie-Tien, There has been no bug reported on this issue. The Abnormal program termination error is a symptom of a memory conflict. Have you stripped down the system? Does it still happen? REM out everything in your config.sys except for FILES= amd Buffers =. Do the same for everything in your Autoexec.bat except for path prompt and mouse. Reboot. Make sure you are not loading any TSR's, video drivers, etc… and start 3D Studio. (You will also have to remove any ADI statements and .CFG files if you have them). In this VANILLA configuration, does the problem still happen? Chances are it won't. Now just put all those lines back in one at a time till you find the culprit. -Brian
