Hello, All. I have experience in using ZModem with FidoNet BBSses. No problems. I use NComm, and Compuserve has only XModem and Kermit in common with Ncomm. Both don't work, when I try to download something. XModem starts transfer, but gives ten consecutive errors on record one. Kermit just signals an error and exits. I tried both XModem CRC and XModem checksum, Any suggestions? Thanks! Anybody have experience with Amiga + Compuserve + NComm?

Hi Remo, when I was first getting into comms I used NComm. It works fine with BBS's as you have found. It does not work well with CompuServe however when it comes to file transfer. ( My theory is that it can't handle the change from 7E1 for interactive connect to 8N1 when you decide to do file transfer ) I swapped over to Term v3.4 and it works fine using the YModem protocol for file transfer, and Xmodem for ascii mail up/downloads. Term is slightly more bewildering to set up because it is so configurable but once you get the hang of it, it is a much better comms program. Once you get file transfer working, download AutoPilot from AmigaVendour forum. It is an absolute MUST HAVE for Amiga CompuServers. best, Tony. Driving my deck on AutoPilot

Hi Remo, Before I switched to autopilot I used Ncomm v3.0 with compuserve & although I could only down & up load on Xmodem which is very slow I had no problems at all with it. What version of Ncomm are you using & what are you settings when you log onto compuserve? Darren. // From the U.K,On AutoPilot v1.72 \X/ With a little help from Mercury Communications.
