Madeline, I've got a Targa+ 16/32 and the correct set statement is Set RDPADI=\3DS3\DRIVERS\RDPTPLUS.EXP you may try the different driver but it could also be that you're not specifying the \drivers directory. Also, I think you need to do a TMODE 11 6 or similar to initialize the Targa and don't forget to load the driver in config.sys. Good luck Dave Mennenoh

By the way… The new 1.0.3 Version of the Vibrant Inline driver supports Targa+…. Check it out. Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics

Dave – thanks for your help with my targa problem. Your suggestions regarding the Targa plus board make sense – what you mention is what I've got at home with my Targa (which I =know= is a Targa+). This board, though, is pretty clearly not a Targa+ because 3DSR2 uses it via the rdptarga.exp driver and no TMODE in sight. If I had to guess (and I don't have to, but I'm going to anyway <g>), I'd say that there is something different between the way 3DSR2 interacts with the driver and the way 3DSR3 interacts with it. In any case, I've pretty much gotten used to rendering to the hard drive and sticking the resulting clumps of frames together on videotape (when I was a programmer I learned to do binary, octal, and hexadecimal arithmetic; now I'm an artist and I have to work in base-30 arithmetic <G>). I'm also told that rendering straight to tape is very hard on the VTR. Since the nice Betacam SP deck I'm using belongs to my client (and I'm doing my own demo reel, not theirs), I'd be wise to keep the wear and tear to a minimum. Thanks again.
