This question is for anyone. I want to start single frame recording
and have access to an AG 6300. Can I single frame record with this vcr?

It's not really made for it, but you can, with add-on hardware from BCD. I
have an older BCD controller for it (that positions for edits, etc. but not
single-framing.) BCD wanted about $1000 for a "ROM upgrade" to let it
single-frame. I'm not sure how much it would cost, total, to make it
single-frame. I was disappointed, too. 🙂
