instead of making an emplant for the A1200 why not make an

that way you don't loose money buy making two different products
and you add more people buying your original product.

Dunno, maybe there's a technie out there who can tell.
I think that those people who want an expansion-box for their A1200 should have
bought an A2/3/4000 in the first place. If you buy an Amiga , you must choose
between cheap and limited A1200 or the expandability of an A2/3/4000. Some
people changeover later from an A1200 to an A4000 because they're getting
professionall.
I wonder how many people would really want an expansion-box for their A1200.
The market would problably be small.

According to AmigaWorld (a few months back) there is a company that has
designed a tower case and keyboard for the A500/1000 and they are
supposedly working on an A1200 version. (This may have changed in light of
Commodore developments however) They also have a product which allows you
to connect a video slot to any Amiga model… (Although it requires some
serious wiring to accomplish.

Though i'm happy for these who want a box like that, i still think one should
buy a A2/3/4000 if more expansion is needed than provided by the A1200.
IF we're able to buy them in the future…

Well, since a cased A1200 is projected to cost less than a 4000, and the
2/3000 doesn't have AGA (especially at a reasonable price) I don't think
my decision to buy an A1200 was a bad one.
However, the only thing I really want for my A1200 is an Emplant (486)
whichs was supposed to be PCMCIA anyway… so I personally don't need any
expansion slots, other than the one in my "gut".

No, if you only need to expand a few things, like you explain in the next
sentence :

But i you're considering to buy an Amiga and know in front you want to expand a
lot and use your Amiga for work, my point is, go for the A4000. If you're not
planning to expand a lot and use the Amiga only at home, the A1200 is a good
buy, don't wast money on the expandibility of a A4000 which you're not gonna
use.
It's very simple, choose what fit's your situation.
