Yes – you can. But only the same way that you can see 24-bits on your otherwise NON 24-bit amiga display. Color, or B&W display of fine resolution is done by a process called "dithering". This is a process of placing tiny (smaller than anything in the image, hopefully) dots on paper or screen, and using the limited number of colors you DO have in a mixed manner that "fools" the eye into seeing more colors. Imagemaster, a product of my company, can produce the best on-screen images of any Amiga product to date with regard to viewing high color; it can also print effective 256-grey level images using dither on any preferences printer under 1.3 or above. It does not, at this time, have color print capability for extreme high color. For that, I'd suggest you look at ASDG's "TruePrint24", or at AdPro, which includes that capability as a stock function, as I understand it. Remember, though – without a 24-bit display card, or a true high color printer, what you get is dither – and that may, or may not, be what you want. –Ben …via AutoPilot

Few printers actually support 24bit printing, but all the current image processing packages, including our own ImageFX, print 24bit graphics with amazing results on printers like the HP 550c and others. There's also a very nice standalone software package from INOVAatronics called Turboprint that does wonderfully at this. Kermit Woodall Nova Design, Inc.
