#Lightwave keyframes

John,
Do you know of a way to copy a key frame to other frames ? For example, if
you have a keyframe with settings which you want to duplicate at other
locations in the animation, it would be nice to be able to copy that
keyframe's settings. I suppose I could edit the scene file and just copy
and paste the keyframe info and change the frame names, but I was hoping
for a simpler solution. Thanks.
I always hit enter, then change the number in the create key requester…
Jim,
PMFJI, but have you tried saving the envelope within the motion graph window?
This will save every aspect of the motion for a particular object; then you
can load the envelope into the motion graph for any other object in that
animation or any other animation.

Simply go to the frame you want to duplicate and hit the enter key to
create a new key. Type in the frame number you wish to have it duplicated
at.

If you ever need to edit the scene file I would suggest you be careful. I
have done it on several ocasions and if you don't do it right it will
crash the machine.

Thanks for the warning, Tony. I didn't know that was a possibility. The
worst I've had so far was some messed up keyframes from a bad edit.
Jim,
It never hurts to make a backup copy of the scene file before editing it.
