#Toaster to AGA750 GPI

Subject: Amiga Toaster ver 3.1 to Panasonic AGA750 edit controller GPI
connections.
I recently purchased a GPI trigger control cable for my toaster after
discovering that I was continually operating the toaster at edit points. I
plugged one end of the cable into the GPI TRIGGER jack on the back of the
AGA750 controller the other into mouse port two, and tried both the positive
and negative selections on the toaster setup screen with no joy. The edit in
point goes by with no toaster response.
The Panasonic manual reads "Trigger Output Terminal, Used for starting the
relay signal or tape redcorder line signal automatically. Upon completion of
preroll, a negative signal is output for about 1 second."
Anyone have any ideas or previous experience with this?
If the connection is good, it is most likley working.
The problem with the AG-750 and AG-800 edit contolers is that they
trigger the GPI at the preroll point (which is at 3,5, or 7 seconds before
the edit depending on the setting on the AG-750 you chose). So basicly
what occurs is the effect is done before the edit. No fun.

The Y/C Plus people make a box that takes care of the pre-roll for GPI's. They
are in Topeka KS.
