#Objs disappear in stage
2 messages in this thread
I have Imagine 3.0 for Amiga.
If I have a ground object, and other objects on top of the ground, not
intersecting the ground. When the perspective window is set in SHADED
(or the other hidden line removal mode) the objects on top of the ground
in the perspective window disappear.
If I put the perspective window into the 1st mode (without hidden line
removal <I forgot the name>) the objects show back up.
This consistently happens with a particular scene I have. It is very simple,
letters and a hovering plane over the gound. I have plenty of memory left.
Any thoughts? I haven't tried a bunch of tests to see if it happens with other
scenes.

My hunch is that your objects disappear when you switch the Perspective view
from wireframe to shaded because the tri-view center is _below_ the ground
plane. In other words, in the Front or Side view, the ground plane must be
below the center of the view. In Wireframe mode, all objects are treated as
transparent; if your "eye" is below the ground, you'll still see the objects
above the ground. But if you change the mode to shaded, where objects are
solid, they will not show through the newly-solidified ground.
