I think membership requires that you possess a secret decoder ring. <G>. — James — MAP —

Just apply to Dave Berry, c/o The Miami Herald. The only requirement (other than being named "David" or "Dave") is being able to sing along with either "Louie Louie" or "Land of 1000 Dances" while holding a beer AND doing air-guitar. Oh, and if you make $14 million for switching networks, you're automatically president!<g> Dave

Ok – I've got Louie Louie covered and if what's his name from Def Leppard can play the drums with one hand I figure I can hold a beer and play guitar with two hands. <g> You can exclude me from automatically being president though. I make under 14 million a year. <g> Dave Mennenoh

The Dave club requires that you drink micro-brewery level beers and can sing Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen). 🙂 -dave

Is this thread the place for the discussion of how we're going to attract Dave Barry to the 3DS party?

Hm. I _used_ to have his address when he lived IN Coral Gables, but I know he moved again a couple years back. Martin could send him a tape with his beer animation on it, and tell him he can jam with the ASOFT/3DS band — I'm sure he'd show! (Well, tell him the beer is FREE, and I'm sure he'd show!) Too bad I won't be there, though. Dave ps I know this sounds like Dave and I are good buddies, but actually, he just signed an autograph for me once on a book tour. My brother worked for the campus media center and got his address off some form (you know, "I will not sue the University if I get electrocuted by the microphone…" sort of thing).

>> I _used_ to have his address when he… Actually it is not hard to send him something, but naturally that does not mean he will look at it. Just find his column in a paper, call the paper and they will give you the Syndication company address. Send it to them and it will get to him, if he wants stuff to get to him. I saw him on local TV today and someone asked him why he did not play himself on TV and his answer was that he was too short for the part. He also talked about a bunch of writer types who formed a band and he said that they are/were really bad. And no, I never met him.

>> a bunch of writer types who formed a band… Yeah, I don't remember who all is in it, besides him and Stephen King. What a hoot. Dave
