#requester

Its annoying to see the Workbench requester and some other program
requester opening on the left top side on the screen.
Does someone know how to fix them to open always on the center?
Thanks a lot in advance
Juan
yes, ARQ 1.78. It does in addition very nice things with the boring
standard requesters.

Rafael,
I have heard ARQ 1.78 is broken under AmigaDos 3.0. Just wish I had
3.0, but I do luv ARQ!

Me too!
BTW, it seems that 3.1 is lready available for ALL Amigas! But a bit
expensive. Let's see how it works (with Emplant as well, of course!)

Juan

Juan,
ARQ 1.78 appears to work fine on my 3.1 A4000/040

Steve,
I could have swore that you were the one who stated ARQ didn't work
with 3.x about 3 months ago…..hmmmm well I guess my mind is getting as
old as my body :-\

Steve,
Nope, not I. I used to run it but stopped for some reason so earlier today I
downloaded it again … so far, no problems under 3.1

download ReqTools in the AmigaTech forum. it's library that serves as a
replacement for the standard amigados (asl) requesters and comes with a
patch program that will intercept any calls to asl.library and routes them
to reqtools. it comes with a preference program that you can use to have
the requester open up where you want and can be as big or small as you
like.
or you can try other asl replacements kd_freq.library or my favorite, mfr.
i'm sorry that i can'r remember any filenames of the top of my head, but
they can be found in the amigatech libs using the search names "req" or
"reqtools".

Bob, thanks for your reply.
It's right, ARQ doesn't work under WB3.0. I've tried out, no chance.
The system crash often when the (nice) requester appears.
Juan
Juan,
I use ARQ 1.78 everyday on my A4000/040 with no problem. It runs from my
WBStartup Draw. I don't get any crashes when requesters pop up.

James,
thanks for information. Maybe its my Spectrum-board ??? ;-0
Juan
Juan,
do you have any other program running in either your user-startup or
WBStartup-drawer that also does something with the requesters? If not,
what other programs are running. Perhaps one of them is the problem.
Something is not right if it's working for others with 3.0 and it isn't
for you.
