Can anyone tell me if Interactive Video Systems is still in business? I
am having a bit of trouble with my Vector board and need some aid and
comfort. A Fax sent to number listed in AC's Guide has gone un answerd
and the voice phone number does not answer. If they are still in
business, how do I contact them please?
Regards from New Zealand

Don,
I ran into the same problem last year, and I don't recall what I found
out. However, I do have a couple of leads for you. I made myself a note of
the following phone number: (714)-228-2040. I just tried calling it and
got no answer, but you might try during the day. It's a California number,
and I believe they are (or were) in Garden Grove. Also, I think I got in
touch with a Sam Noonan, who is listed in my Grand Slam card manual, and
who, as I recall, would provide some technical support. Try sending him a
message via Internet at: snoonan@netcom.com. This is old info, but I hope
it helps. I'd be interested in hearing how you do.
If the phone # on the other response doesn't work respond back to me. They
are/were close by in what I believe is La Mirada on Beach Blvd. The name one
the door was different the last time I went but still functioning as IVS as
well. I have a bad TCP board and have to check with them as well. Its about a
15 minute drive from my house. Here's hoping, Ed R.
Latest phone # I have for IVS is 714-890-7040. I think it is correct and the
one I used to talk to 'em recently. I'm almost certain they are still with us
unless something changed in the last few weeks.
Pardon me, but IVS was the outfit that blew everyone away a few years ago
at an Amiga show displaying "Back to the Future" from an Amiga hard drive,
yes? I've been impressed with the reviews for its MovieMaker product, but
it doesn't seem to have caught on as any kind of Amiga standard.

My IVS Vector Accelerator died on me (within a week after the 1 year warrantee
expired). I called IVS (this was in April). They gave me an RA # to send it
back for repairs/replacement. Three months later and I have not received my
board back. I cannot get an answer on the phone number they gave me in April.
I can make connection with a modem on their BBS number but I get a message that
the IVS BBS has been discontinued. I've just about written off the accelerator
($525) to just real bad luck. If they are still around any info you have on
how to get in touch with them would be greatly appreciated.
