You could be doomed, re: your "is there a fix for the Summa problem or am I doomed?" question. <g> I have not heard this before, except with AutoSketch. The situation there referred to an MSC Technologies mouse that needed a later revision of the software that enabled it to emulate the Microsoft mouse. Since the driver for our software is built in and therefore not "updateable", I would wonder if your Summa's settings are different from the SummaSketch Plus or MM1201 tablet. The other murmurs you heard about similar problems — do you recollect if they were of the Summa II also? We'd like to resolve this, and you've already taken the first step, NO autoexec.bat / config.sys files. (Date/time prompt). Try running AA on a floppy, if you think you'll encounter the problem right away. When does the direction reversal take place? After you're in the program for a while? Right away? Nik

Nik – I don't have a graphics tablet, but I'm prompted, by your statements: <I have not heard this before, except with AutoSketch.> & <We'd like to resolve this>, to mention that LOTS of people have left messages on the forum about problems with Summa tablets, as well as "compatible" ones in 3DS and AAP. Since graphics tablets are only going to be used more for graphics work, as time goes on, I'd like to put in a plug for a different method of supporting them…some open interface that 3rd parties can write to more freely than at present. It all seems such a struggle with the users dangling between Summa and whoever and Autodesk. FWIW David Taffet See msg. #32608

David, Thanks for your reference to the earlier Summasketch message on AAPro 1.0 vs AAPro 1.3. I couldn't see any follow up messages — I'll see if I can continue the thread. Nik
