#Micron P-90 w/ Targa +64

We're considering upgrading to a Micron P-90 "Platinum" as we've heard it is
the PC of choice by Autodesk and used as the machine on which 3DS is
demonstrated at all tradeshows. However, we note that this machine uses a PCI
bus for video. Can we still use the Targa +64 card we use now in this new
machine? If not, what is the video card "of choice" for outputting
images/flics from the Micron machine to video? What is Autodesk using? We
also plan to use this machine to run North Image Technologies "Inscriber" –
(the new VMP – Windows version) and hear the Matrox Illuminator Pro is a good
card for this application. Anyone have any experience with the Matrox card in
conjunction with 3DS? Thanks in advance for any input.

most PCI machines come with a handful of regular ISA slots. For example a
machine might have 4 PCI and 4 ISA. You could use your old cards (targa+ 64) in
the ISA slots.

I'm getting the Micron P-90, in fact it should be delivered today. The
first thing (after testing as is) will be to install my Targa+ in it. As
Martin says it will just go into an ISA slot. I'll let you know if there
are any problems.
Also you might want to check with Image North about the NEW Windows version
of Inscriber as I was told at Siggraph that it would _NOT_ run on a Targa+.
Sounds wierd I know but that's what they (Alex I think) said. Maybe things
have changed since then.
