Hi Mitch! VisArt, Germany is developing a stand alone raytracer-engine for 3DSR3. We showed some images on CeBit-Expo and last weeks we showed the program with its user-interface on CADOpen. The name of the raytracer is RAYMAN. Can`t tell you all the features because there`re a lot highlights (like adaptive anti-aliasing, soft-shadows, depth-cue, network-raytracing, Hall-illumination-model and so on…). If you`re interested we can take you as a beta-tester and send you a beta-release. But you should test it… Michael – Michael Bassier, Written 19-Jun-1994 @ 14:22:09 Using: Windows NavCIS PRO 1.2

Micheal, I would love to be a Beta tester for such a great product. Please let me know more about what you need from me. In the meantime I'll give you some info. I'm running 3DSr3 on a 90mhz Pentium w 32m ram, 1.5g hd and ATI Mach 64 graphics card. I will be adding a PAR board very soon. My full time job is as a 3D/2D artist with a 3DO game development company. I also do freelance animation on the side. I'm fairly new on Compuseve, so I'm not too sure about the policy on posting addresses and phone numbers. Will be waiting for your reply Thanks, -Mitch Gates-

Michael, PMJI, but I could not help but to get excited over the thought of an IPAS Raytrace renderer for 3DS3. I am very interested as well in becoming a Beta sight for such a product. AZ-TECH, my company, is a computer animation, multimedia and consulting firm specializing in 3D animation and Architectural simulations. I am currently working on a video game for The Software Toolworks and also did the cover to the Feb. issue of CADalyst Magazine. I have also been a beta sight for 3DS 2 and currently for MacroMedia Director for the PC. I can send you more information on myself and my company, what ever it takes to become a Beta sight for this potentially terrific product. Please let me know. Thanks. Zac (AZ-TECH) Berkeley
