How do you find time to do anything belonging to so many BBS's. I have
enough trouble keeping up to this one. Although I am waiting for Sierra to
get a toll free number for Canada. I'd love to fly against someone in the
Red Baron.

Sierra is EXPENSIVE. First you pay for the basics, which offer no games
you really want to play, and then it's an extra $9.95 per month for each
additional "land." I'm trying to cure my son of it.
I'm not on AoL very much; it's pretty but disappointing. An old friend
of mine runs the gaming SiG there, though, and it's easy to get in touch
with him that way.
Bix I use primarily as a program resource; at $29.95 a QUARTER,
unlimited time on the system, it's a superb place to download even large
new shareware and freeware files and samples and such. The WiX section
there is one of the best active Windows forums/libraries around. I don't do
much in the way of communication, though, unless something comes up that
needs it.
GEnie I haven't been active on in a long time; it's mostly of interest
for some private areas that SF pros hang out in (to me, anyway) and because
I like to check in from time to time and see what folks are saying about me
on the Jack Chalker interest group I had nothing to do with forming (but
discovered). GEnie's interface is so bad, even with the TAPCIS-like
Aladdin, that I can hardly stand it, though.
Delphi bribes me to be there and I like the people and atmosphere.
Except for the Wednesday night Delphi sessions, I'm not online as much
as you might think.
Too bad it is so expensive, I really enjoy modem games. I have a great one
called The Perfect General but it takes a few hours to play. I guess I'll
have to be satisfied with what I got.

If you pick up Battle Chess for Windows on CD ROM and know others who
do, you can play interactive online chess games via it and your modem. Neat
looking program, too.
I have a copy of Battle Chess but unfortunatly no-one else does. Most of
the people that bought computers on the first company offer never even took
them out of the boxes. I am one of the oddballs that got interested in it
and spend most of my time on it. Even on this second offer very few went
the MM way. The largest pasttime here in Fart McMurray is supporting the
drinking establishments.

I must drop into one of these Wednesday night sessions. They sound very
interesting. I don't think I will go wild on BBS's, I'll stick with CI$
and Delphi. I think that will be more then enough to fill in my spare time
with.

Just got off an hour and a half on Delphi in which we said a lot of
nonsense and little of any redeeming social value, as usual.
They're fun.
When there is no social value that's entertainment.

Thanks for the compliment, but you still have 38 books left to read and
I have a wife and two children to feed….
I have to prohibit Larry Land; my oldest is only just turned 11 and not
quite ready for that one yet.

the flyer from Sierra I certainly didn't expect to see my name in print.
