We are trying to play TOPAS FLI with aaplay, some are working, some not, it seems to depend on the fli size, (not so big +/- 1.5M) all those fli are playing properly on GRASP or with the topas playmvy animator. We use the aaplay because it's the most comfortable player that we can call from an application under windows (It's a DLL) No support for 10 days now from Crystal graphic on CIS Any suggestion ? Olivier

Olivier, I've seen several of your messages on this subject, both here and in the GRASP forum. Sorry to see you still haven't found the answer. Let me give it a shot. Can you import your fli or flc into Animator Pro and then save it out again? If not, have you thought of writing a short grasp program that loops to putdff one frame at a time and psave the frame to a .pic file? If you can create a series of sequentially-numbered .pic files, you can then convert them to .gif and bring'em into animator to save out as an animator-generated flc rather than Topas. That shouldn't be too tough, particularly if you use Image Alchemy to batch process the .pics to .gifs all in one go. I know that you know how to do the grasp part of it, but if you don't have Alchemy or some other way to quickly do the conversions, I could probably do it for you without charge. That's assuming that it can be done as quickly as I think it can and that you could stand the delay of the transatlantic snail mail to send me the files. For that matter, if they're small enough when zipped, E-Mail is a possibility. If I can help further, let me know. Dick Brandt

Thank you Dick, That's the way we are trying to investigate now, my hopes was to get a tip from CrystalGraphic directly but they seems to be death for 10 days now. Your help is appreciate anyway I think that we get Alchemy as a tool in MMGRASP. I'll keep you informed. Olivier

Olivier, Image Alchemy doesn't come with MMGRASP, but a lot of graspers use it. It's a shareware program from Handmade Software, Inc., and you can find it on CIS – In Graphdev, I think. The shareware version is limited to 640×480, but the full program is only about $80 US, and worth every bit of it in the time it saves. BTW, I have no commercial connection with Handmade, I just think its a super program. If I can be of any help, let me know. Dick Brandt
