I'm having a problem with Video Post which is proving very annoying. I've got a sequential series of .tga's named MARI0000 – MARI0168. In VP when I enter mari* as my bitmap name the entry comes up as being 338 frames long. This only seems to happen in this one particular project. If I start up 3DS and go right into VP and add the entry it comes up correct. Problem is I need it to work with this project. <g> I know I can fix it using an .ifl but this still is a pain, and I just wanted to see if anyone had seen this and why it's happening.

Hey Greg, Nope, nowhere is there a file named mari0337. I did a search on my entire drive and the only ones are 0000-0168. Like I said it works fine if I start up a clean 3ds project, but if I load the one I need it pukes. I did use an IFL though and it works just fine. It's just that .ifl's are a pain in the butt if you want to do transitions. In these cases using the 'ol mari*.tga is much faster and easier. But oh well, it works at least…. DM

Yup! I've had that same thing happen before though. I have no idea why it does it though. Maybe I'll try and spend some time seeing if I can nail it down. So how are things in the big time? <g> I'm sure great, it seems like you're involved in some pretty fun stuff lately. Take care. DM

Dave: Yes, we're having fun out here! Lots of 3DS work, TV shows, architectural walkthroughs, CD-ROM games, etc. We are currently expanding and re-modeling our offices (I can't wait for this @#%& construction to be over!) so things are thrown up in the air a bit right now. But this will give us more room for people, equipment, etc. Greg Pyros

I want to say that I had accidentally rendered some of the images to different sizes (640X480 and 752X480). When I corrected the couple that were different, VP read them correctly. At least, that's how I remember it. Give it a try.
