also any spec on this device
thanks
It's called Snappy, not to be confused with Snapper, which is a type
of fish. I have one. $199 @ Egghead, etc. What else do you want to
know? Contact: Play Inc. (800)306-PLAY (the Toaster guys)
Hi Scott!
wow, that is a super price! 199$ that is pretty good!,
anyway, I have one and it is pretty good, no need to get that crappy video
blaster stuff, I had one and it sucked. With more than 15 megs of RAM on your
system, it didn't work, now they have a new version, but they couldn't care
less about people who had bought the original card, oh well, SNAPPY is super!
bye

Hi Sean, holly cow, geez, we did a big discussion on this product, I
uploaded a few things on this, use a browse with and scan for the
words snappy, ok, this is a brand new video input capture device,
that is capable of doing the highest resolution so far with these
kinds of devices. Before resolutions went up to 640×480, this one
scans up to 1500×1125, and this is at 16.8million colours. The
company is called Play Incorporated:
This device actually plugs into your parallel port (printer port) and
that is all there is to it!, 2 seconds with a diskette, and it is
running in Windows, super software comes with it, capture from a
moving camera, vcr, videoplayer, etc, many different options for
actually capturing the image, moving video, still image, even higher
quality, then highest quality, this one takes many snapshots, then
mixes them to give a very precise picture. Anyway, check my upload
and you'll see more about it, here in Canada, I picked it up for 299$
so down in the states, who knows, everything is cheaper in price in
the states, but I think prices on computers are actually higher,
anyway, if I were an American, I would check this out, then order
from Ontario, Canada, from a warehouse, and get a bonus of that extra
40cents on your powerful dollar!, oh well, that is it. hope this
helps! Mark in Montreal, Canada.
