I am looking for a broadcast solution to play 3ds animations, capture live
video and keep sound in sync. I use a PAR on an AMIGA-transfering files from
my Pentium. I only need under ten minutes play. Not sure how well Par
captures video. Thanks.
Toss around the forum here and you will se a lot of discussion about the PAR.
Video capture with the DPS TBC IV board is very clean. Combined with RAZOR PRO
editing software, you get a great non-linear editing solution for a relatively
low price.
With the SCSI version (PERCEPTION) being released in June, and the NT RAZOR
software coming up shortly, this will be a kick-butt system.
DPS has quite a few dealers around. Look up on the Take 5 section and you'll
find some.

PMJI, but I believe list price is $1995 for Perception..

Guy – Scott gave you the straight skinny – no price change from the current
price for a PAR! Now THAT's unusual.
But if you're going to order a PERCEPTION, do so soon. We ordered a batch for
our stock two weeks back, and DPS was back-ordered into August at that time.
For a product that isn't going to ship for another month! Do you think thast
this is going to be a popular item, or what?
Our clients have reserved just about all of our current order, so it looks
like we will have to order some more soon.
