To all, I have just installed Win NT 3.5 over win 3.11. I am having trouble getting all my cards to work. They all worked very well with win 3.11. Can anybody help ? Thanks to all.

Mohamed There is still a bit of hardware not compatible with WinNT. You might check the WINNT forum for the latest Hardware Compatibility List and for tips on configuring. It seems to be difficult to get an answer to specific questions on WINNT, but there are a lot of messages to scan for information. BTW, which cards don't work? Hi Ted. Windows NT can not find my sound board tahiti,my modem set on com4. Can you tell me how to set the Par and razor with windows. Thanks. Mohamed.

We are having similar WinNT set-up problems but with WinNT not recognising a Future Domain SCSI card, the Monterey(which is part Tahiti board) has an IRQ set at 10). All our boards are recognised WinNT boards but still problems. This doesnt help you much but obviously it is a common problem or will be as others set-up similar systems(until WinNT drivers come out for the Soundboards and the PAR)…if anyone is having similar problems–I hope they will share what they have tried to solve it. Mohamed, Hmmm, I'm not sure if the Tahiti is supported, check the latest HCL file. It sounds like you some interrupt conflicts (if your hardware is supported), use NT Diagnostics in the Administrations Tools group to check where everything is mapped to, then adjust as needed, but check to make sure the hardware is supported before doing too much. The PAR doesn't have NT software yet, but I understand it's coming soon. I have no experience with Razor, so can't help there. (Not that I'm being much help, anyway<G>) Take things slowly and make notes. Maybe someone else here has direct experience with your hardware. Good luck TedB -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F0006MGHHIV6E0B

Mohamed, Last time I checked there were no NT drivers for the Tahiti. In:Sync has been working on an NT version of RazorPro for a while and most of their customers have Tahiti cards so I've been wondering what they are doing. I'll drop Jamie at In:Sync a line and see. Good Luck, -Paul

Paul, We just heard on the grape vine that a ingenious person outside of Turtle beach has written drivers for their cards for NT – I will try and find out more information tomorrow during the day and let you know what the latest is. Jamie Carr in:sync

James, There is a file called MSNT.ZIP in the Classic section of the Turtle Beach BBS. The driver only does the midi stuff right now but the guy who wrote it said that he was going to work on the wav stuff as well. Turtle Beach say on their BBS that they are working on NT drivers as well – so we'll see who finishes first. Jamie Carr in:sync

Paul, The good/bad thing is that we have been working with some sound cards that are proprietary to the machines which we are working with. eg DEC alpha sound cards, PowerPC sound cards, proprietary cards for a dual Pentium machine we have. Creative Labs and Media Vision have drivers shipping for WindowsNT – given these are the only guys in town right now I would suggest Creative's AWE32 until one of our recommended sound card manufacturers comes up with the goods. Jaime, Thanks for the NT sound card update. I assume nothing panned out with a 3rd party Tahiti NT driver? BTW have you published a RazorPro 3.0 feature list?
