Brian, I've created a rather large script in AAWIN, with about 50 FLCs and 25 WAV files. It runs like a dream as long as I set my Windows video drivers to resolutions above 256 colors (e.g., 65K). But in 256-color mode, the palette distorts when I play back the script. Some of my whites turn to blacks, and some other colors distort also . BTW, I do have the 20 Windows colors reserved in all my palettes. When I load one of the individual FLCs with the LOAD ANIMATION option, they display fine. So the color distortion only occurs while playing a total script. HELP! I'm under a deadline, and need this to display in 256-colors.. Tom Marlin Studios

DUH — Good ol' RTFM. I solved the problem by reading the manual and shutting Color Cycling off. Sorry about that! Tom Marlin Studios

Thanks for letting us know. I'd forgotten about the Color Cycling option and wasn't sure what to recommend.

Another interesting point to remember about AAWIN and palettes. The Transitions function — fades — will not work unless you're in 256-color mode, including having that appropriate video driver installed, and since it's actually a color cycle, that function must be activated. Tom Marlin Studios

"The Transitions function — fades — will not work unless you're in 256-color mode" Absolutely! This is a good thing to point out to folks; thanks.
