>> I'm looking for veins << Zachi, I'm not sure, outside of Viewpoint, where you could find anatomy items. Maybe someone else will jump in on this, …….Sam Coor? TedB -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F000DMGJHG\MG^HG8D3EFE

Hi – not enough information to give you what you want ?? Are you looking for meshes of human anatomy for 3DS work or what. Also need you to change your name here in the forum from Pixel to whatever your name is. If you are using WINCIM, you can do it under Special, Forum Options. And as an aside – most members here chat on this forum and won't take the time to go to internet. Why don't you talk and interact here. Lots to learn. Anne

RE: internet vs CI$ Any chance that Autodesk would load the 600+ 3DS files that they have on the internet into a library here? Viewpoint also has 3DS files on the net. This forum offers certain values that are not available on the net. I would hope the vendors don't favor one "digital media" over another. If they do, things will decline.

Hi Anne! >Hi – not enough information to give you what you want ?? Are you >looking for meshes of human anatomy for 3DS work or what. I'm looking for 3DS works, meshes and textures that could help me model veins and lunges. >Also need you to change your name here in the forum from Pixel to >whatever your name is. If you are using WINCIM, you can do it under >Special, Forum Options. well I did it. Doesn't seem to effect anything. Any way my name Zachi Zweig. >And as an aside – most members here chat on this forum and won't >take the time to go to internet. Why don't you talk and interact here. Lots >to learn. Is it a problems chaging the address in the reply to an internet one. I read all of my mail through internet, why should I connect to compuserve when I want to read from compuserve. I think their is a reason that compuserve is connected to internet. zachi

Zachi – You got your name changed just fine. The reason I suggested frequenting the forum is that the messages stay in this forum and can't be read through email. I know what you mean about email between internet and Compuserve – I use it all the time with friends all over the world. Hope someone is able to point our meshes of human anatomy for you. Anne

Can the messages in the forum be read in other parts of compuserve? (I'm new in this) zachi

Zachi – The messages in the AMMEDIA forum can be read only in this forum. Each forum's messages are seperate and you have to go to a specific forum to read those messages and to view the library files. Anne

What type of information on veins and lungs are you looking for? do you need specific veinous systems ie-portal, cranial etc and what type of lungs do you need, meshes texture maps. If you can be more specific I can probably help or point you towards the right directions Sam Coor Medical Media

Hi Zachi This in reference to your post (#:174219) in the ASOFT forum. i.e. lungs Viewpoint Datalabs has lots and lots of 3D files. They are in Orem UT @ voice: 1-800-dataset or fax: 801-224-2272 or u-pay 801-224-2222. They also cost lots. They will happly send you a free catelog (over 190 pages). Page 53 (3rd Edit.) has a high res "upper respiratory" with 3537 vertices and 3568 polygons. As a pathologist, I would say the title "upper respiratory" is not correct. The catelog shows left and right lobes, major bronchi exterior to the lobes, tracheal bifurciation, trachea and an enlargement on the traceha that looks like a bad goiter but is most likely meant to be the larynx. (Upper respiratory usually is associated with respiratory passages and sinuses above the neck). I had another source but can not find it, perhaps others can help. I was wondering if someone would point me towards a reference that would describe the steps in making non-lofted 3DS files, like a lung lobe or heart with 3DS (not a pen-pointing device) jhg

Zachi, You might try calling a dealer named Anti Gravity Products in Santa Monica, CA at 1-310-393-6650. I saw a skeleton and other body organs in their most recent ad. It's from a company called Dedicated Digital Imagery, and was shown at $135. Available in 3DS format I believe. I can't vouch for the quality, but the price seems right. Let me know if you need “exterior'' bodies, because I have a set called Humanoid for 3DS. -Tim Wilson, Crestline Software
