Hayyyyyy Gary: I'm working on a video game with Virgin Interactive, my job is modeling and mapping. Once the models are completed they'er shiped over to a simulation system. There we will need to know how to get the UV coordinates and model data from the 3ds files even when using cylindercal and sphereical mapping. Hope all is well, -Richard Sher+

Hi Richard, << There we will need to know how to get the UV coordinates and model data from the 3ds files even when using cylindercal and sphereical mapping. >> Please call Autodesk's FaxBack Service at 1-415-507-5595 and request document #756, "3DS Texture Coordinates". This should be what your programmers need. jonas[adesk]

<<There we will need to know how to get the UV coordinates and model data from the 3ds files even when using cylindercal and sphereical mapping.>> If you haven't got the IPAS Developers Kit, you could save the project as an ASCII file since this stores the vertices AND the UV mapping coordinates. You could parse the file and extract the mapping coordinates. DaviD "UVYMCA" GouID

Hi David, << If you haven't got the IPAS Developers Kit.. >> I *especially* suggest downloading the FaxBack document for those individuals without the IPAS developer kit.
