I wish that the 3D Boolean operations would work right every time. Over 80% of the time I have to screwed up faces on objects when using subtraction. PLEASE fix this in R5, it wastes an way too much of my time. Thanks, Daniel

Daniel, << I wish that the 3D Boolean operations would work right every time. Over 80% of the time I have to screwed up faces on objects when using subtraction. >> FWIW, I usally have good luck with subtraction. Mark

>>>FWIW, I usally have good luck with subtraction. You're fortunate. I tend to have about a 10% success rate in objects that will boolean correctly the first time. I can usually turn that into about 20-30% once I've done enough work with the faces, meshes, and various tweeks. However, that 70%+ that will NOT boolean, seems that they never will. Many people I've talked to here have reccomended to go to another modeler like MicroStation for modeling, and not use 3DS at all. The sad thing is, I thin 3DS has one of the best lofters around if you get your shapes from a CAD accurate source (*NOT* the 2D shaper). You just can't perform any advanced operations on these meshes once you get them lofted. Subtraction is the worst…
