Hi everybody, a recently bought 3D Studio and now I am trying to create human bodies with it, but I am having quite a lot of problems creating "realtstic" heads. Does anybody now a way to create suck body parts with 3D studio without any extensions. If It is only possible with extensions, which programs should be used ??? Thanks for your reply … Jochen Till

Jochen, The 3DS tools I would concentrate on learning would be: .Deform/Fit .Modify/Axis/Align .Modify/Vertex/Align,move,scale,etc. .Select/Vertex/Fence,etc .Display/Face/Hide Plug-in extensions would Yost Disk 6 for Deform and Disk 7 for Displace. Good luck TedB -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F0007MGHHGE92BE0

Jochen, Let me know if you're interested in using pre-built models. I have a set of humans for 3DS which includes a series of morphable facial expressions. Sample images can be found in the ANVENA forum NEW ANIM VENDOR lib, search it with the keyword CRESTLINE. They're small and quick to DL. -Tim Wilson, Crestline Software

The Special Effects by New Riders has a section on using the Yost #6 skin feature to create a muscular man. However, some of what is done could be done without the IPAS. The shapes are made by using the deform/fit in thw lofter. This works for the limbs and torso. I suggest checking the book out or at least glance through it at a book store. If you have any good reponses on head, let me know.
