#GPF's in SoundLab
3 messages in this thread
I get GPF's often. For example, when doing the tutorial on Pg. 206 of the
manual I get "AUTOWAVE caused a General Protection Fault in module COMPOBJ.DLL
at 0004:054E."
I have a large swap file that overcame previous Flipper problems. What can be
done to overcome the GPF's in SoundLab.
The computer is a Pentium with 32 megs.
Thx for any suggestions.

Ed,
Interesting problem. SoundLab is the most stable of all of Animator Studio's
modules. Just a few questions:
1. What exact step are you crashing on? (On page 206 there are 11 different
steps over 3 sections)
2. What type of sound card are you using?
3. Have you had (crashing)problems previously in SoundLab?
With a little more info, we should be able to solve your problem.

a few things we can check.. what are you system resources at when this happens?
(are there a lot of other programs running in background, TSRs like screen
savers and such). has the GPF occured with other Soundlab uses or just when
doing the tutorial? -dave
