Hi,
Has anyone a good idea for to develop a river and his waterfall in 3ds whitout
IPAS?
Thanks,
Igor
Hey Juan,
Somehow I remember a waterfall in a book called Falling Water, A 3D
Studio Case Study. I used to have it, but can't find it on the shelf. See if
you can find out more about this book and pick it up. It may have the answer
your looking for.

However looking at the book I find that the title has no significance in
waterfall modelling, rather it is the name of the arquitectural project

Hey Denis,
I found my copy and after reviewing it I agree. The authors did not go
into the detail of the water element of this project…..oh well….I tried.

Your best bet is probably to use various animated texture maps to simulate the
water. We've used animated maps for water flowing throung tubing but not a
river or water fall. Maybe use some rotoscoping of some viideo of running
water on you mesh water fall and river. For the water fall mist use layered
opacity maps of a mist that rises and dispates. I would experiment with
differnet animated refection mapping to. I believe their is a caustic flic on
the 3ds CD or somewhere in one of the forums.

A refreshing cascade of water in a seamless loop.
You'll think you see spheres deflecting the water. But, look closely,
what you see is only water delineating their shape.
Created with The Script Extension (PXP module) for 3D Studio Release 4 and
AniPro 1.3. TSE is available from Schreiber Instruments.
