I'm discovering some inconsistencies in the way 3D Studio 4 creates
flat mirror reflection maps when a shadow of a surface should be in
the reflection map.
The exercise consist of creating 4 cubes. Place 3 cubes adjacent to
each other to form a right angle corner. Place the 4th cube on top
of the corner cube. Place a spotlight in the scene and render the
scene to see the shading and tone of the faces of the cube.
I will upload a project file called chrcube.prj. Only 3 are visible. All
surfaces of the cube are opaque except 2 veritcal faces. These have flat
mirror automatic reflection maps. One of these reflective faces is on the top
cube. This reflection map should pickup the shadow on the top surface of the
adjacent cube, but usually no shadow shows up.
