I use a Targa 64 card for video output from 3DS. I also have a Panasonic optical disk video recorder I can control through an RS232 port using Visual Basic. Does anybody know where I can find a DLL to use with Visual Basic to send images to the Targa Card to do my single frame accurte video transfers from my own code? Thanks for help on a quasi-3ds question. Rich Schwartz

Rich, I don't know about a DLL but GO TRUEVISION and you'll find a library of resources addressing these things. Actually there is a utility to run the Targa in Windows and do grabs chroma key etc. so in all likelihood that DLL will work for you. Hope so, and if you have success with it, you might post the program here as well, either as shareware or freeware depending on what you feel its potential is… Hope this helps… John

I posted a similar question here and on the Truevision forum, with little success. The best I could get was "use the Windows grab utlities that come with the Targa+" — but my read of those utilities is that there isn't even a way to keyboard the capture (which you could simulate via VB). If you figure anything out, please let me know! As it is, I've decided to use DOS utilities to do the same thing (but I HATE DOS!).
