After speaking with my vendor about the problems I'm having with Microstation
DXF files importing into 3DS, he talked with the folks at Autodesk and they
mentioned a utility called dxfix that might help some of the problems. I found
it the mac version but does anyone know where I might find the pc version.
Thanks
Doug

Most of the DXF utilities are over on the AutoCAD forum where they use that
stuff much more often. Type GO ACAD at the CIS prompt to get there. Then do a
keyword search on DXF and you should see all the library files that are related
to DXF files.

Try a file called DXF3DS (or 3DSDXF); I found it fixed all of the problems I
had with both Microstation and AutoCAD DXF files that were larger than about
1mb.
I use it for everything. It even converts Corel Draw! DXF files (which are
unbelievably sloppy) to good 2D Shapes. Talk about cool fonts (too bad 3Ds
doesn't have a good text system).
