How does Animator Studio work with Multimedia Toolbook? We are thinking about using Animator Studio for the animation in a Toolbook file. We'll appreciate any information. (We have not used Aimator Pro or Studio before.) —-We heard that Animator Studio does not offer Technical Support. Where can I get one when I purchase the product?

Miho: We have been working with MMTB and Anipro for well over 12 months now. MMTB supports .FLC/.FLI extensions as well as .AVI – assuming you have AAPLAY.DLL installed, you should have no problems. As far as ANI Studio, I can't answer that, however, the output from AS is .avi format so it should not pose any real problem. MC

Thank you for your information. Where can I get AAPLAY.DLL? Is this the player for Aimator Pro? Does it come with the product?

Miho, It comes as a seperate disk with animator pro 1.3a, it's also available in the libraries here in a beta upgrade from the file name aaplay.zip. You can use it as a windows app, it creates it's own group and icon. If you need to call it from a windows program you need the docs in vbplay.txt. but just to play fli and flc the disk should do. With animator studio you also get animation player 1.0 this is different from aaplay Steve Pidgeon Pulse Productions Tampa, FL

Miho – One of the best places to get technical support for Animator Studio is right where we are messaging! This section of the AMMEDIA Forum is always full of helpful hints from other members and answers from Autodesk Technical people. We try very hard to give 24 hour turn around on messages posted weekdays. Those that come in Friday afternoon sometimes even get answered by Autodesk techs looking into the forum on their own time over the weekend. I learn something new every time I read messages <G> Anne

"We heard that Animator Studio does not offer Technical Support." Not true actually – up here on CompuServe, naturally, and there are support phone /FAX numbers in the box. I've never used Toolbook, but I'd agree with Mike's response.
